Is it just me or do home inspectors not get enough respect.? They're pretty much the only thing keeping you from dropping the most cash of your life on something that will sink you financially, cause you headaches for days, and force you to endure years and years of your wife complaining. They should get danger pay for some of the conditions they've had to endure: Cluttered houses, unsafe conditions, people's gross leftovers. Dogs, pests, mould, you name it: They've seen some shit.
Hang out with any home inspector for awhile and you'll hear horror stories from the trenches. One inspector I know found human teeth in a crawl space once. You think water damage is expensive, how much do you think an exorcist will run you?
