Guess what's even cooler than having your favorite bar a few blocks away? Having it right in your own basement!

This dude's basement was a total eyesore—old, ugly, just a big waste of space. But he decided to spice things up and turn it into the ultimate at-home bar. It wasn't exactly a walk in the park, but once you check out how it turned out, you'll totally get why all the effort was totally worth it.

He started by tearing out all the old wood panelling that had been there for decades

Then he added hardwood, ceiling tiles and a fresh coat of paint

He repurposed some old kitchen cabinets from IKEA

And added some wooden framing for support
